I think the mini-album included in this kit is so sweet...I just had to use it! Since our wedding anniversary is coming up next month, I thought it would be fun to create a little album to give Tom. I tried not to make it too precious...kept it a little bit simple and not as girly as I would make it for myself. I've been a fan of skinny, imperfect strips of pattern papers for a long time and thought why not cover a heart with strips? I was also inspired by my friend Lisa's scrapbook layout with a stitched heart and a mix of pattern papers that you can see here:

The ribbon included in the project kit is one of my favorites ever! so pretty.

Just a little heart garland, made by punching hearts from pattern papers included in the kit and then stitched together.

Layering of messy papers under the photo with an embellishment included in the kit.

Another simple as can be page.

A few embellishments added to the photo and raw chipboard page.

simple, focus on the photo.

What are the chances of a butterfly lighting on a little girl's nose and staying long enough to snap photos? It was a golden moment for sure! I thought the pretty Pebbles butterflies HAD to be used with these photos!

I sketched an idea months ago, using flowers of various medias like this...so when I saw the yummy Basic Grey flower packs, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them! I also mixed in some

The Basic Grey felt flower accent in this kit is so beautiful! I wanted to keep the layout super simple to let the photo and few carefully chosen bits shine.
